Dermal Fillers Treatments

As we age, our natural supplies of collagen begin to break down leaving our faces looking deflated with more lines, wrinkles, creases, and loss of elasticity. Where anti-wrinkle injections work on the muscle, dermal fillers work within the tissues under the skin by plumping up areas of volume loss, replacing fat pad separation for example within the cheek area and lower face. Dermal fillers work instantly, and the results can last from six to fifteen months depending on your body’s individual metabolism.

Having filler in place should make your skin look rejuvenated and natural. We place the filler in areas which have lost their previous volume:

  • Lips
  • Smile lines (connects nose and lips)
  • Marionette lines (connect corners of lips down to chin)
  • Jaw definition
  • Chin remodelling

Results can be instant with dermal filler. Initially there will be some minor swelling which should settle after a few days. The area maybe red and inflamed often immediately afterwards, again this settles normally within 48hrs.

Filler Dissolve

You may wish to dissolve previous fillers as a personal choice or because it has been advised (migration). Lip Filler is a common area to have filler dissolved especially if a client is demonstrating migration on an initial consultation from having lip fillers previously. Migration of filler can happen for several reasons including overfilling the lips with filler and/or injecting too high on the border of the lips. It is extremely important to fill your lips in stages to avoid overfilling the lips, eventually leading to migration.  That is why at Natural You Clinic we insist on a consultation before delivering any treatments as your safety and our professional delivery is paramount. We will create a bespoke treatment plan and if needed we can inject Hyaluronidase into the chosen filler dissolve area. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that exists naturally in our bodies and breaks down the composition of the filler safely. Many Clients like to restart their filler journey to achieve their desired outcome, this can be started two weeks after the Hyaluronidase has been administered.

Lip Fillers

Lip fillers not only enhance your natural lip shape, but can provide moisturisation, plumping and redefining to make you feel better than ever. At Natural You Clinic we can offer results that are extremely natural looking, so no duck-lips or trout pouts please! We believe in gradually building your lips, letting your body adapt and adjust, topping up if needed. In addition to fuller lips, the procedure can also help to create definition, symmetry for uneven lips and an enhanced cupids bow. The dermal fillers we use are made of hyaluronic acid (HA). This is a substance found naturally in the skin, meaning our bodies process it as they would with natural HA. Fillers come in different consistencies to create different results, so you may need different fillers for different areas.

Cheek Enhancement

Carefully placed filler can add volume to beauty points or replace volume where it has been lost. At Natural You Clinic we use dermal fillers designed to create, lift, and shape, to show instant results that can last from six to twenty-four months. Advanced dermal fillers restore ageing volume loss in our cheeks, which helps to replenish any hollows and work to replace volume loss to build up the cheek bones. Different HA filler products can be used, some have characteristics that improve the cheeks and work well on areas of larger volume loss. This will all be discussed at your consultation with a unique treatment plan designed.

You can use a numbing local anaesthesia cream to reduce discomfort from the procedure. The dermal filler is then administered to augment the cheeks. At Natural You Clinic we can use ‘fast healing techniques’ that utilise a cannula to administer the filler for most patients, which results in less swelling and bruising.

For most patients, the results of cheek fillers will be evident approximately 5 days after the swelling subsides. The results may vary from patient to patient and last between 6 months to 24 months depending on the individual and how their body responds.

Nasolabial Folds

Nasolabial fold filler is a great way to reduce the appearance of these lines, creating a natural smoother and younger look. The dermal filler works by introducing hyaluronic acid under the skin at the dermis level, plumping up this area, and making it appear tighter, fuller and smoother.

Russian Lips

This specific technique will shape the lips into a subtle heart shape with more volume near the centre. It tends to lift the lip rather than add excessive volume, so it is ideal for individuals knew to lip filler and/or seeking a natural finish.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty has recently gained popularity for patients looking to alter the shape and/or appearance of the nose without incurring the risk, cost and downtime typically associated with surgical rhinoplasty.

Marionette Lines

Marionette lines are facial wrinkles that run downwards from the corners of the mouth towards the chin. They are also called melomental folds, however, the term ‘marionette lines’ is more common and derives from string puppets. They are a product of facial ageing, predominantly due to the reduction of support and facial scaffolding.

Depending on the individual fillers can be injected into the area to reduce the appearance of these lines, creating a natural smoother and younger look. Or Antiwrinkle Injections can be used to help reduce these lines and keep new ones from developing.

Jawline/Chin Enhancement

Filler to the chin and jawline may provide more facial balance and harmony. At Natural You Clinic we use non-invasive, non-surgical chin augmentation treatment that is safe and effective for a natural, balanced appearance.

You can use a numbing local anaesthesia cream to reduce discomfort from the procedure. The dermal filler is then administered to augment the jawline. For most patients, the results of Jawline fillers can be evident instantly but allow approximately 5 days after the swelling subsides. The results may vary from patient to patient.

Tear Trough

The appearance of under-eye bags/shadowing can give a tired appearance. Patients often find people comment that they look stressed or tired. The changes to the under-eye area are often related to genetics and sometimes lifestyle. The junction between the lower eyelids and upper cheek is referred to as the tear trough area.

Tear trough hollowing is one of the earliest ageing changes and is often common feature from childhood. As we get older, this area alters in appearance, by becoming more hollowed, darker, deeper, and less revitalised. In some people depressions can develop that can make the eyes look sunken, creating dark shadows and giving the appearance of tiredness, exhaustion, and old age.

Filler treatment is a popular solution for early treatment of these changes to the tear trough. The treatment involves carefully injecting into specific areas around the eye, with the objective of softening deep wrinkles and lines and smoothing the overall appearance creating a more youthful look.
